Unicorns I woven European tapestry cushion cover features a scene from the "Lady and the Unicorn" series of Belgian tapestries. We see the scene of a blossoming orange tree with rabbits playing closeby. The orange tree is a symbol of celebration and marriage in many cultures. Here we see the medieval motif of a thousand flower or mille fleur background, made so popular in the Middle Ages. Two bunnies are on the forest floor enjoying the rich foliage, accompanied by the other forest critters all around, and this is echoed by the abundance of flowers in the red background.
